What are channels?

Channels allow you to track the performance of specific ad units based on your specified criteria. For example, you can paste channel-specific ad code for different channels onto same pages of your site, where one channel will be for a header ad and the other for a footer ad. That way you can compare which channel performs better and which one needs modifying.

In another example, you could add a channel-specific ad code to some pages, while adding another channel code to other pages. The other channel will have different color scheme or different ad format. After some time you can compare statistical data and use the better performing channel on all the pages.

Another use would be to ad channel code for different channels to different sections of your site or different site domains. That way you can have separate stats for different sections on your site and you can determine which themes on your site are monetizing the best.
